A Tale of Horror

“A horrible place to deal with.
I will begin this tale of horror at the begin. I have a 1997 Dodge Dakota in good shape. The Overdrive was out so I called around. I spoke with a guy from skyline named pat. He spoke so nice and told me yea could repair the transmission (I would find out later how untrue this was) and how there was a 3 year unlimited mileage warranty. So I said I think I will give this guy a try. I took it there; everyone was so nice and caring (until they get your money). I got my truck back and I drove it home and seemed to run great. I was on my way home from work the very next day and I stopped on the way to take of some business I had. I got back to my truck tried to start it and nothing. I had it have towed to shop and I was informed that the starter was mis-installed. I call pat at skyline and asked what happened, he says his guys left the starter connected to the truck.” -

“(Anybody who has worked on cars will tell that not completely removing the starter is NOT the way to do this type of work), I asked why did you completely remove the starter, it is the easiest part of the job. pat could not answer and said good luck with the truck. I have personal replaced about 20 Starters in my life. It is not hard at all. It would have taken him 30 seconds of extra work to do this. I was given every excuse under the sun why they would not pay a penny. I FIRM believe ( I have to say believe because I have not won my court case yet ) that they did NOT honor their warranty or workmanship after only 23 hours of the 3 year unlimited mileage warranty. I am personal afraid to drive that truck any where because if they could not even install a starter, how could they possible do a transmission rebuild??”

“This is the first part what I know will be a very long story; I am now preparing my court papers to sue skyline transmission. Do yourself a huge favor; keep driving past skyline, save the headache, save the pain, save the heartache and save being left on the side of the road in the middle of night.”
